Sitting at 1,800 metres, Balcons de Bellevarde Apartments puts you in a very handy spot. The lifts are just a 2 minute walk away and the ski school meeting point is only 100–200 metres from the apartments. There’s also a free shuttle bus stopping around 50 metres away, so getting around Val d’Isère is easy enough even when the ski legs have officially clocked off.
Inside, it’s proper alpine territory. Think plenty of natural wood, warm colours and comfortable bedrooms that feel especially good after a full day on the mountain. It’s cosy without trying too hard, giving you a relaxed place to get the feet up before doing it all again tomorrow.
The apartments are well set up for doing your ski holiday your own way. Each comes with a kitchenette for breakfasts, dinners and whatever questionable snacks you picked up in the supermarket, plus a comfortable living area, TV and complimentary WIFI. The large private balconies are a serious bonus, with views across the ski runs or Val d’Isère valley. There’s dedicated ski storage, laundry facilities and a lounge and bar too, handy for a post ski drink before deciding if you’re heading out or staying firmly horizontal for the evening.
