If getting from your apartment to the slopes in record time sounds like your kind of ski holiday, Le Telemark is a serious contender. Sitting right at the entrance to Tignes, it combines cosy alpine wood with slick modern touches, without going all fancy pants about it. Best of all, the Chaudanne drag lift is just a few steps from the door, giving you easy access to the huge Tignes & Val d’Isère ski area. Less faffing about in ski boots, more actual skiing. Lovely stuff.
The apartments are smart, comfortable and properly kitted out for a week in the mountains. You’ll have a fully equipped kitchenette, a comfy lounge and bedrooms made for collapsing into after you’ve given the slopes a good lash. There’s also free WiFi and a TV for those evenings when the legs have officially clocked off.
Then there’s the Spa Ô des Cimes. Give the ski legs a bit of TLC, unwind after a big day on the mountain or simply enjoy doing very little for a while. You’re on holidays after all. And if the spa isn’t calling your name, grab a spot by the roaring log fire in the stylish reception area. Boots off, feet up and absolutely no guilt about it.
