Inside, Hotel Carlina keeps things cosy without going full mountain cliché. There’s plenty of wood and stone, comfy spots to flop into after skiing and a roaring fire in the lounge that’s very hard to leave once you’ve settled in. The bedrooms carry on the alpine feel with wooden decor and traditional furnishings, giving you a comfortable base to recharge before doing it all again tomorrow.

And when the ski boots come off, you’ve got options. There’s an indoor pool, sauna and jacuzzi, plus a choice of spa treatments if your legs are filing an official complaint after a big day on the mountain. You can grab a drink on the terrace and take in the views or claim a spot by the fire and go absolutely nowhere for a while.
