Bad Gastein ski resort is part of the largest ski area in the Gastein Valley, Austria. The resorts of Bad Gastein and Bad Hofgastein offer access to 200kms of ski slopes split over four separate areas. Ski holidays in Bad Gastein and Bad Hofgastein offer excellent spa facilities teamed with a brilliant ski area and magnificent mountain views.
All levels are taken care of in the area with nice gentle slopes and nursery runs for beginners to learn on and eventually advance to the many intermediate slopes in the region. For the more advanced there are more challenging runs to take advantage of while cross country skiers are also catered for. Each area offers a mix for boarders from snowparks with half pipes to terrain parks with rails and tabletops.
You will find plenty of ski deals in Bad Gastein and Bad Hofgastein where, after a hectic day exploring the local slopes, you can rejuvenate in the local thermal baths and hot springs. Bad Hofgastein would be the quieter of the two ski resorts but also the prettier with traditional austrian buildings and a pedestrianised centre. Bad Gastein offers some great nightlife with the après ski continuing well into the early hours – if you have the energy for it.
In Bad Gastein family skiing is very popular. Children from the age of 3 and up are taken care of in the ski kindergartens while the older kids can take part in the kids ski school. This gives parents plenty of space for skiing Bad Gastein and Bad Hofgastein.

Ski School Bad Gastein
Group course for 4 years +. All-day care is provided by specially trained ski teachers. The ski school is open Sunday to Friday from 10.00 to 15.00 (with a 1 hour lunch break). Your children will be able to safely learn how to ski. Ski courses for children include: Care, lunch and beverage
