The old rustic village of Argentiere offers stunning views of the Chamonix valley with the Mont Blanc dominating the valley scene. Skiing is available for all abilities in the Chamonix Valley, having 11 areas in total, the skiing above Argentiere tends to be tough, with long and challenging black runs. Easy access to the other areas are accessable by ski bus. The Argentiere base is home to the local childrens club. More low key and less expensive than Chamonix centre which is 8kms away, Argentiere has some fine restaurants and evening activities including a few lively spots.
