Mallnitz which is 1200m above sea level is set in the National Park “Hohe Tauern”. It is an idyllic place with 1014 inhabitants but has retained its village character and is very proud of it. Well maintained hotels and guesthouses look after guests, the hiking trails are great if you are looking to experience nature and the cable cars/chair lifts make it easy to reach the summit. For culture there is the Pro Musica Mallnitz which has musical events on throughout the year.
