Web Services Developer

Ref: JOBTE01

Profile: Directski.com is seeking an experienced Web Services developer with solid Perl application development experience to join it's small in-house development team. The role involves the deign and implementation of travel systems APIs. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable on SOAP and XML and will be comfortable with SQL/RDBMS and Unix systems.

Reports to: Head of Application Development

Location: Dublin 15

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis, Design, Implementation and Maintenance of Web Services based APIs to enable B2B partners to search and book Directski.com product from their own travel systems.
  • Liaising with B2B partners throughout the project life cycle to ensure the successful deployment of B2B API integrations.
  • Analysis, Design, Implementation and Maintenance of Web Services based APIs to enable Directski.com to book external product from within the Directski.com booking system.

Experience, Qualifications & Person: A minimum of 2 years software development experience within a commercial or business environment. Demonstrable skills with the following technologies:

  • Web Services (SOAP)
  • Perl (application development experience)
  • XML
  • Relational Databases (PostgreSQL an advantage)
  • Unix

In addition to the above, experience of Travel Systems and/or OTA specifications will be a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working well within a small development team and will demonstrate exceptional problem solving skills and initiative.

Web Applications Developer

  • Development of new company web sites and systems.

Resort Representatives

Ref: S0109

Directski.com are looking for experienced representatives to work in the following destinations: Italy, Austria, Andorra, France, Bulgaria, Slovenia, USA, Canada and Norway. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Accompanying airport transfers
  • Holding weekly Welcome Meetings
  • Daily hotel visits
  • Preparing and operating a successful après-ski programme
  • Ensuring a high ratio of customer questionnaires are completed and returned
  • Completing company paperwork and ensuring that the whole resort operation runs smoothly

The successful candidates will have previous repping experience / languages or extensive skiing experience coupled with a customer focused attitude and an appetite for hard work. As some resorts offer sole repping opportunities, candidates must be able to work under their own initiative.

Directski.com is renowned for being one of the highest paying ski employers. You will also receive Lift Pass, Equipment, Accommodation (possibly shared) and seasonal insurance. A percentage of profit from your in resort sales will also be awarded.

Employment period, from Early / Mid December to End of Season. (Approx. 3rd April).
