Crans Montana
Set on a broad shelf facing south across the Rhone Valley, Crans-Montana is really two separate towns that merged in the 1960's to become this world-renowned resort. Famous for its pure mountain air, Crans Montana today is a large, cosmopolitan resort with plenty of things to do.
The Snow
- Best suited to intermediate and beginners with some excellent nursery areas and plenty of wide meandering reds.
- Ideal for a family ski holiday
- Very good snowboarding areas
- Modern, well-designed lift system
Après ski
- Large town with 80 international restaurants, an excellent range of shops, lively nightlife and culture, a comprehensive program of activities and a wide-ranging choice of sporting activities beyond skiing
- Crans is more upmarket than Montana, where you'll find cheaper bars and restaurants
* Other attractions of note include the bell foundry, local church and perfumery.
The Rest
- Considered as one of the world's sunniest ski resort
- Breathtaking views of the Alps from the Matterhorn to Mont Blanc
