All the advantages of Mayrhofen but without the queues to get on the mountain, skiers have the opportunity to ski right back to the valley floor where they will find two great apres ski bars and a free ski bus to take you the 5 minutes drive back to the Hotel Alpina. Located in this typical Austrian village the Hotel Alpina and its staff are well known for their hospitality.

For the avid skier who wants to spend all day on the slopes and kick back in the evening, the Hotel Alpina is the perfect choice with a sauna and steam room to ease any muscle aches. If you're looking to entertain yourself in Mayhofen which is 4kms away, a taxi will have you there in less than 15 minutes and should cost no more than 20euro for up to 8 people.

All guests of the Hotel Alpina will be treated to free glühwein, tea or lemonade and a slice of fresh Austrian cake every afternoon after skiing.

We also provide our guests with an extensive DVD library of English language movies and books for you to enjoy. There is also a weekly quiz night in the hotel for all our guests with some great prizes on offer. There is a small charge for this. A great opportunity to meet with some other like minded skiers.

All rooms have en-suite bathroom, TV and most have a balcony. Please note that the Mansard twin has a sloping ceiling and no balcony. There are just 6 of these rooms in the hotel.

About Schwendau Ski school meets at the top of Schwendau lift for all abilities. Ski storage is available at the base of the lift in the ski hire shop(eur10 to store boots) There is no need to go to Mayrhofen. Our Reps will also be on hand should you require any assistance or advice whilst on holiday.
